Stage III: Separation of "earth from fire, the subtle from the gross, gently and with great ingenuity," as conveyed by the Emerald Tablet. In this phase, the alchemical process slows, giving rise to the ability of discernment. We become keen observers of the present and the divine. This is where the sun and moon acknowledge one another.

Illustrated for the Alchemical Imagination immersion course into alchemy with alchemist, educator, and fine artist Eliza Swann hosted by the Golden Dome School.
