Maggie Tseng is a Taiwanese American artist based in Los Angeles. Drawing on alchemy, astrology, mythology, and everyday symbolism, she uses painting to explore transformation and the many forms it takes. Her work follows recurring motifs and questions across interconnected bodies of work, treating each series as part of an ongoing process of observation, reflection, and becoming. Guided by curiosity, wonder, and play, she creates images that linger in moments of transition, where multiple possibilities can exist at once.

 

Tseng received her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2019. Her work has been featured in exhibitions including Visionary Art Collective: Radiant Voices and the Brea Gallery, as well as publications such as Hexentexte and Booooooom's Array Vol. 3. She was recently longlisted for the Folio Society Book Illustration Award.
